Fertility hormones are teste using a dried blood spot test. Protein concentrations are then measured to assess certain aspects of your fertility and reproductive health.
What hormones are tested in the Fertility test?
The Fertility test measures anti-mullerian hormone (AMH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), (Luteinizing Hormone) LH and estradiol (E2). Measuring these hormones gives physicians insight into certain aspects of your fertility, like your ovarian reserve.
What is my ovarian reserve?
Typically, women are born with their complete amount of eggs, unlike men, which replenish their sperm overtime. Ovarian reserve refers to the reproductive potential left within a woman’s ovaries based on number and quality of eggs.
